This is a bit of fun for 15 mins or so,bring a broom and bring some big wheels! Super hard to get a good momentum on this. You can't grind anything on it,but you can pump it and try tricks over the curb cut centre. Better than nothing ,but probably one of the worst skateparks ever! Again Some Greek concrete man came to build this, not a proper park builder.sign says "skatepark established in 2001" .A wonder the locals havn't claimed it as some sacred site?Like Ayres rock or something? Place where you may find silver pillows?!
This ramp has very whippey trannies! The surface is a chalky grade of cement with the "broom finish" and is a little rough on both You and your equipment, including pads and shoes. The coping is a small grade. I think a Greek concrete crew did this rather than say convic.(Welcome to NT skateparks?)
It's something I guess, but the council need to put lighting up! It's too hot to skate in the middle of the day and you'll need plenty of water and more clothes!
Had a roll on this the other day. Smooth cement surface is a bonus. The grind rail could be loaded into a car and pinched it isn't bolted down, just has a concrete base? Perhaps designed to be portable?
Big wheels will help you maintain good momentum at this place, as the ramps have a lip and you loose speed when you enter.
The ramps are prefabed metal frame with cement surface.
Bring plenty of water, hot place to skate and pray the sprinklers aren't wetting the park too!
