The only reason scuba steve is giving away his camera in the other comp is because the eS vx1000 is so much better he doesnt need his sony(s) anymore.
After playing with this setup for a few hours, my initial impressions are, better low light than orginal vx1000 (about same as vx2100), same awesome colours and sound. Cannot comment on the fisheye since I dont have one yet but it has the same bayonette mount as the vx1000 so no reason it shouldn't hold up in that dept too.
