As for DIY day we were there in the rain and did what we could...painted some shitty sections and lugged some wood and steel to ride. The $$$ we tried to get from the GOV for concrete fell through but we'll keep on pushing. I will be boycotting the event you are or aren't running on the principal that scooters and bmx's don't belong with skateboarding and that the lame poached photo flyer for a skatepark that has been in existence since 1992 and featured in numerous mags and has numerous talented skaters there every week that could have been in your flyer at the actual skatepark is of an American Pro in North America who got nothing out of this. | ||

No i?we are not running this but we are helping out for the skate part of the day regarding judging and organising prizes, (which isn't as easy to do as people might think.) so far we have had great response from some of our suppliers though. as for the upgrade, was just wondering. the repainted mannypad rail thing looks dope. i like what you did. as for the photo, thats what the radio station did, i was disappointed at first and did start to make a new one but realised i don't even have any photos from paddo. it's just a tool to get people aware that this is going on hope everyone can understand that cheers | ||

Dale at Extremes is just getting cornered = as he said, this same group wanted me to help out but I am already running something at Nerang on the same day. Just someone outside of skateboarding trying to get in on things, self promo and what not for the station which is all good for them, but to have comps for skate, scooter and bmx in the same thing is not much fun for the skaters who just want to have a roll without all that going on as well. At least there is someone like Extremes putting up prizes which are actually going to be good, rather than another shop like Rebel sport or non skate related company helping with product, so it would be ok for prizes for the skaters who do go there. I have seen too many of those of late = skate comp, big promo, get to the event, budget is minimal or no skate prizes at all for the kids who turn up, like Goodna Youth Services for Springfield, Redbank and Riverview comps from the easter period just gone. Anyway, Norm I just emailed you re $$$ for park upgrades. If I sent it to the wrong one, just check my profile and email / call to check on something please. | ||
