Today the Backside ollie off between Renton (Number 1in the world) and Mick Mulhall (number 97638272863869236230402340234009.727383009023409023 in the world) was finalised. Renton actually landed an ollie off the Roll In about a solid 7ft 1 inch at the very least. To Micks Displeasure of Renton Rolling into it he screamed and cried like a baby. But 43 year old Kevin Staab stuck an ollie higher than Micks attempts at Backside airs. Also Tony Hawk Backside the channel at a good 6 foot. We love you Mick Mulhall and Im first person to kick a boot into Renton but I have skated with him around the world for 10 years and he owns the backside and the frontside ollie on Vert!!! Maybe we need a street off between you guys!!!! | ||

Baaahahahaaaaa.... You're a fukn classic Trev. You obviously didn't see me watching Renton from the bottom of the ramp. I was bloody stoked mate. Funniest shit was Renton comin off the ramp sayin sorry as he walked towards me. Too farkn funny. I'll still say that I didn't need an 18 foot roll-in (or did he use the 21 footer) and a 14 foot ramp to go that high. All leg power on an 11 foot ramp baby! Hahahaaaa... I still don't even count the 9 footer Ren did at the GWC until I get a chance on a roll-in and ramp combo of the same size. I agree that Renton owns ollies on vert like no other, except Chris Miller on frontside ollies. I still have to argue that I've skated Monster about 6 times in the last year, and Renton skates ramps that big almost every day. Maybe we should have the ollie orf again after I get back from the states. hehe.. Or you could just compare the following.. I know the shot of Ren is from very small net video from today, and that when scaled up to similar size it looks crap. I did my best to line up helmets instead of rear toe side wheels. I also know that the angle of photography is different and therefore deceiving. But geez mate.. I dunno. Check the board and coping positions.  | ||

How much did the paint used for the graphic on Renton's board weigh? Did he use 8/7/6/5/4 deck bolts?? Geez.. Of course I have to respond to that. It's in my nature to keep digging holes for myself. I don't regret a single thing I've written or done in my life. I never could, would, or will give a damn. If people think they know me by what I write on this site, they really should go skating, and if they ever see me, don't be too shy to say Hello. I can pretty much gaurentee that I'm nothing like the persona I'm purpoted to have on here. The only valuable lessons I learn are those I learn whilst skating. Patience, Persistance, Perseverance. Hey guys, Dont hate...I just wrote that last night for a laugh coz Mick is a legend of our sport here in Australia. Not many people have done what Mick has and you know he comes from the old school when you could actually say what you thought. Sure there used to be more punches in the face but he is a legend. Mick can Backside ollie and whats more he can still skate and rip at his age. My issue itself is with all the lame arse Sydney dudes who dont skate Vert anymore coz Monster is too big. Gay!!! Aww Tweva.. mayte.. What you said to me yesterday went straight to the core of my soul like your slap to my nads. Both almost made me throw up. Bahahaa.. When I was workin at Monster I fealt let down by all the old Mona crew. I can't tell you how many times I skated the ramp on my own man. What you said was a damn good reminder though. I felt ashamed to be skating yesterday. Not even being able to put down a backside ollie is just so disheartening. I'm not even gonna blame my age or past injuries Trevor, cause it aint worth worrying about it. The way I've been skating Bondi lately has given me enough confidence to try to keep progressing, and as vert skating is my true passion, I'll be doin my utmost to squeeze every last ounce of health and fitness I have left to get back into form on that ramp. Thanks for the shuv in the right direction buddy. I really needed it. Just a shame I don't have you and Renton to skate with every day. Only wish I could get Gook back on the ramp. I've always got Jimmy to keep me on my toes though. Good to see you yesterday and at Bondi last month. Take care of yourself mate. | ||
