The Skate Australia National Park Championship will be held at the new Gympie Skate Park on Sunday 26th January in Queensland.

The Skate Australia National Park Championship is proudly supported by the Gympie Regional Council and Gympie & District Community Bank® Branch .

The Skate Australia National Park Championship is a national skateboarding competition for men and women. The events are sanctioned by Skate Australia and delivered by the YMCA. These organisations form the committee that develop the event series rules under the World Skate guidelines.

Open Male and Female competitors at the Australian National Championships will gain Park Skateboarding qualifying points towards the towards Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

$1,000 Prize pool open Male and Female divisions only

12 & Under Male
14 & Under Female

Park: Open Male and Female divisions only
National Park Championship Qualifiers:
• 5 minute warm up before each heat
• 6 skater heats
• 2 runs each (maximum 45 seconds)
• Best run counts
• Between 16 – 30 people advance to Semi-Finals dependent on skater numbers

National Park Championship Semi-Finals: (The current top 3 Australian Olympic ranked Men and Women skaters can enter the competition straight into the Semi-Finals)
• 5 minute warm up before each heat
• 6 skater heats
• 2 runs each (maximum 45 seconds)
• Best run counts
• Top 8 advance
• Scores do not carryover from the Qualifiers to the Semi-Final

National Park Championship Finals: top 8 skaters
• 5 min warm-up
• 8 skater heats
• 3 runs each (maximum 45 seconds)
• Best run counts
• Highest score from the Final wins the contest
• Scores do not carryover from the Semi-Finals to the Final
